I didn't say that........

Double entry - both car related. Meaning both will end up costing me money of course ( one already has ).

First up - Saturday is market day here - traffic and parking are hell on earth so we usually get the cars out of the way in case they are needed in a hurry ( the losers here in Brussels think nothing of blocking you in and buggering off for an hour or two shopping at the market ) or if we know we have plans and will need to get out at all.
So - I moved the Alfa - Triumph Mk2 and the Japcrap box from the bays outside. Unfortunately the side street only had two places so I left the Alfa and Triumph there - the modern bubble mobile sitting round back, so after the market ended 15.30ish - needing to be moved. As I was heading straight to Amsterdam with a couple of friends from football, I left that small task to 'her', making sure I made the point of it needing to be moved as I didn't like it sitting where it was.
Great night in Amsterdam with friends - a relaxing breakfast and cruise home. Asked to get her car...... 'Where is it' (pause)
' YOU parked it - so you should know' (LONGER PAUSE)
'You mean you didn't go move it like I said you should yesterday'
'NO' etc... etc...

Of course the car was gone - towed apparently - and ALL my fault ( being in another country and asking her to move the car later that day were of course insufficient excuse ).

The bill was an eventual €200+ - which of course she had to borrow ( holiday next week paid for ) and I will never see again.........

Tonight - her Jap bubble mobile crapped itself and dropped down half dead - so I'll need to get that fixed while she's away ( me paying for that too of course ) and she'll be grabbing a train to her folks before she jets off on holiday ( at my expense I believe! ). AND of course the fact the car broke down has to be my fault .......... ( in her head anyway ). I have three cars standing outside - All MINIMUM 25yrs old and all working ( OK - I dismantled the oldest cars ignition and am half way through fitting electronic parts so it's dead until tomorrow ) but THEY ARE MANUAL - so she won't drive them. She CAN but hasn't driven a manual car for years - now she could borrow one of my cars ( OH GOD! ) but she isn't confident without practicing first - which she is now shouting she should have been doing all along - guess why she hasn't been and who's fault that is......... you guessed it!

I'm off in my old, ancient rattling classic to relax somwhere with a little peace and quiet, at least I know she can't come chasing!

Only 12hours until she leaves for holidays - but I'm sure something else will come up.

Same sh*t - different day

Well, read my other Blog and you'll know I'm busy sorting out a business - so working my nuts off with that - so not home much ( neither is she ) so - quiet to be honest.

I still get the usual nagging - dog fed? cleaned this or that? washing done? blah blah........ she works of course ( as do I ) so hasn't time for any of this, too busy.

She did attempt to cook the other day - and destroyed the kitchen in the process. I'll post a pic as soon as I can, it's on the camera I can't find because she's tidied........ the age old "your shit is lying everywhere, could you tidy up please" so she does, also moving / changing or simply mis-placing every item I'm destined to need or want in the next week.

I had a classic Sat night - ending in a semi-stupor on the sofa watching Scarface ( yeah - I know - typical male ) and curled up with the dog when in troups the lady with a gay friend and another guy - they are offered the spare bed(s) and I crash with the missus ( so macho huh! ). However, not a smooth or quiet night or morning with the two of them getting it on.......

I then found out in the morning it isn't her friends boyfriend - merely a pick-up. Now I'm party to his two timing, whilst being fed the line he didn't have a key - I'm sure his partner would've appreciated the interloper joining them so they could've just knocked. Not a happy bunny about that one..... I'm certain if I'd two timed her in a similar fashion she'd be over the moon about a friend keeping it secret. Still, we don't agree on that one either........... funny that huh?

Why's he doing that? Who is he after? etc....

Nothing major to report over the last few days as I'e been away! Returned last night and the missus wanted to watch a DVD. An oldie ( and not so goodie ) Ricochet, as she commented half way through a typical mans flick....... ( She'd done the chick flick thing with a friend the night before )

Only to be expected was the continuous 'Why's he doing that?, Where ar ethey going?, What does that bit mean?, What did they say? ....... Words failed me.

Peace and goodwill to all men........

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I definitely don't get much of either over the Xmas period. It has led to soooo many issues arising I've lost count.
A close friendof the ma'am-sab has been here all week too. They've never seen the series 24 (trademark - probably) - I'm on the fourth series - so I introduced them to the first series on DVD. It's been a constant tirade of 'why him?', 'Who's that?', 'What's CTU stand for?', 'What happened there?', and many others......... IN STEREO!
I'm obviously mad, having two german girls in my place for the entire week - so deserve all of this I suppose.
If I could organise my poor scrambled, post traumatised wreck of a brain into any sort of semblence of normal operation I'd re-count the entire week of trivial, banal and downright bizarre arguments I've found myself in. It's simply too much for me to manage at the moment - I'll try later maybe.

first and foremost - apologies

I'll start this by stating immediately - this may sometimes seem like plageurism ( spell check! ) if you ever visit the linked site www.thingsmygirlfriendandihavearguedabout.com - it isn't meant to be but it does strike me that I too have the same or very similar arguments with my German girlfriend. I've spoken to a couple of friends - one has a German ex, another still with his girl in Köln - and both sympathise ( but agree ) on the trials and tribulations of the author ( both here and the linked site ).

Today - a minor disagreement stemming from a film 'Brassed Off' - leading to the Thatcher discussion and of course subsidised coal imports which I foolishly informed her came from ( amongst other places ) Germany. - Dig a grave - as they say.
